我们是做古典沙发的。这个客人上一批货坏了一张沙发(架子开裂,装卸的问题,还不一定是我们的原因)
我们同意赔一张沙发给客人,但是客人却要求我们赔一整套(3张)
他是这么解释的:
The whole set is useless and blocked from sale if even a single piece is damaged. That’s how retail works my friend. It goes as a damaged inventory for us and we have to write off. so you will have to send a new set 3+2+2 to us in both the models free of charge then only we can sell it as a set.
我这么回他:
We understand that once there is a damage sofa, the whole set is unsellable,and it goes as a damaged inventory. In this regard, we understand totally.
However, since the other 2 sofas remain good and you are not going to throw them away, the sofa set will be sellable again once the damaged one is replaced.
Once you receive the new sofa, together with the remaining ones, you get a new inventory to offset the damaged inventory you mentioned.
他这么回我:
What happens is if even one piece from the total set is damaged the whole set goes into ageing and not displayed which means it’s a direct loss for example the set is paid for, the freight is paid, transportation is paid, labor is paid, etc. but once we have opened the carton and found one piece damage the whole set goes into write off which means unsellable.
In this case since the 2 seater is damaged the whole set goes into damage goods and we have to throw it. So what you need to do is send me one set each complete set, that is 3+2+2 of each model free of charge in your next shipment.
