Sourcing Agent / Purchasing Agent
We have an opportunity for a self-starter to join us. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall procurement of products related to hotels and airlines.
Role and Responsibilities:
Represent the company in negotiating contracts
Finding new products and suppliers relevant to the company
Audit existing and qualified suppliers
Manage negotiations and draft agreements
Perform factory inspections and quality control
Maintain strong work relation with vendors, agents and parties related to the company
Initial price research, sample order and selection of qualified suppliers
Create competitive Requests for Quote (RFQ) and/or negotiate prices with suppliers to obtain best available prices while maintaining configuration, quality and delivery requirements.
Confirmation of product specifications and certification requirements for all outbound shipments to comply with all required standards as; SASO, ESMA certification, SFDA, Municipality approvals when needed.
Prepare sales agreement and process purchase orders, monitoring and expediting orders
Production and Quality Control
Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered;
Manage shipping and logistics
Resolves conflicts with related parties
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participation in exhibitions
Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents
Keeping record of all expenses along with original receipts
Profit and loss responsibility
Strong after sale service, be attentive towards customer query and complains
Resolve operations obstacles and work on to eliminate customer complaints to achieve high level of satisfaction.
Manage complete procurement & logistics operations (locally & overseas) from tender process to close the deal with all key suppliers for textiles, chinaware, equipment, kitchenware, paper, cosmetics, packaging, amenity kit bags, plastic, food items etc
Work with high-end global brands/distributers on different levels to achieve “Win-Win” strategy
Ensure compliance in general and specifically with HSE, ISO 9001:2008, local & international customs policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must have prior purchasing experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent English communication and writing skills
