北京时间2月1日上午消息，在周三的盘后交易中，PayPal股价大跌10%，因为PayPal一直与eBay合作，现在eBay突然说它选择了新的支付提供商。
eBay将会使用Adyen处理支付交易，而Adyen正是PayPal的竞争对手。当客户结账时，可以继续留在eBAY，使用Adyen服务；或者离开网站，使用PayPal服务。Adyen将为销售商提供低成本服务，价格机制也会更简单。
至少在2023年7月之前eBay购物者仍然可以用PayPal支付。Adyen会分步接管eBay支付处理业务，今年首先从北美开始，到了2021年将会处理大部分交易。目前PayPal才是eBay的支付处理商，商户必须用PayPal帐户接收钱款。
曾经在13年的时间里PayPal与eBay都是一家公司，但是2015年两家公司“离婚”，成为独立企业。Adyen支付服务支持150种货币。2017年，购物者在eBay购买价值244亿美元的商品。（德克）
